As you have heard in the media, a security flaw has been identified in Open SSL
Software (dubbed Heartbleed) that operates on a huge percentage of servers that
store data from the Internet and is intended to keep the data secure. In response to
the discovery of the Heartbleed Bug, Oakdale Credit Union reviewd its systems and
determined that our Web Banking, Bill Pay, and Online Application systems were
not directly affected.
Although Oakdale Credit Union's Web Banking, Bill Pay, and Online Applications
are secure, there may have been other services that were not. For example, if you
have a Yahoo account set for your Web Banking recovery email for resetting passwords,
that Yahoo account may have been compromised along with other email sites where the
Open SSL encryption were vulnerable - Thus you should reset your credentials on both
Yahoo and Oakdale CU's Web Banking if this situation occured.
